Your goals come first

What would you change about your smile?

No treatment names. No self-diagnosis. Just five simple questions about your desired outcome, priorities, timing and investment comfort.

Three clear pathways

One destination.
Different ways to get there.

You do not need to know which treatment to ask for. Start with your outcome; we’ll help you understand whether moving, reshaping or restoring your teeth may be appropriate.

Four common smile concerns shown in the WSD Smile Check selector

Reshape

Composite Smile

Transform the teeth that show when you smile using carefully layered tooth-coloured composite.

  • Shape, chips, worn edges and small gaps
  • Colour and smile proportions
  • Often a faster, more conservative option

Align

SureSmile

Gradually move your natural teeth with a digitally planned series of clear aligners.

  • Crowding, spacing and teeth that sit forward
  • A position-led smile change
  • Usually completed over several months

Restore

Ceramic Smile

A premium pathway for a more comprehensive change in shape, colour and symmetry—designed and crafted in house at WSD.

  • Up to 8 upper teeth*
  • One smile arch may be completed in one treatment visit*
  • Generally irreversible; suitability matters

Cosmetic care is only considered where clinically appropriate. Active decay, gum concerns, bite issues or other oral-health needs may need to be addressed before smile treatment begins.

RESTORE

Ceramic Smile

WSD digitally designs and crafts ceramic restorations in house for a more comprehensive change in shape, colour and symmetry.

Best forPremium, comprehensive shape and colour transformation
Typical paceAfter planning, one arch may be completed in one treatment visit*
Moves teethNo
Tooth preparationMay require enamel removal and is generally irreversible
MaintenanceLong-term care and review are essential

Some smiles benefit from more than one pathway—for example, alignment followed by conservative refinement. Only a clinical assessment can confirm suitability.

Designed and made at WSD

Same-day crowns and ceramic veneers.

Our in-house digital ceramic capability means your smile can be designed, crafted and fitted here at Waiata Shores Dental—saving time and reducing the number of visits.

1 treatment visit*A whole upper or lower Ceramic Smile may be completed in one visit after planning.
2–3 treatment visits*A full upper-and-lower Ceramic Smile may be completed across a maximum of two to three visits.
  • Digital design and ceramic production remain in house at WSD.
  • Fewer appointments and less time waiting between preparation and fitting.
  • Dr Neha can review shape, fit and appearance throughout the process.
  • The same technology can create selected same-day ceramic crowns as well as veneers.

*Where clinically appropriate. The treatment-visit estimate follows your examination, records, smile design and any required oral-health care. Complex cases, healing needs or changes to the agreed design may require additional appointments. Same-day refers to the ceramic treatment appointment—not the complete planning journey.

Trial Smile

A Trial Smile helps turn an idea into something you can see—and, where clinically appropriate, temporarily try in your own mouth before committing to the final treatment.

01
Your digital model

Using your scan, photographs and agreed goals, we design a proposed smile digitally. This lets us explore proportions, tooth shape and the overall smile line.

02
Your physical Trial Smile

The digital design is translated into a temporary model that can be tried over your teeth. You can see the proposed change in your face, speak with it and give feedback before the final plan is confirmed.

A Trial Smile is a planning and communication tool, not the final result or a guarantee of outcome. It is offered where appropriate after clinical assessment. Final treatment shape, shade, function and suitability are confirmed through comprehensive planning.

Questions, answered

Useful clarity.

Still unsure? That is completely normal. The Smile Scan exists to make the next step easier.

Is the Smile Check suitable for all ages?

The online WSD Smile Check and this complimentary Smile Scan pathway are intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, please contact WSD with a parent or guardian so we can guide you toward the most appropriate type of dental appointment.

Does the Smile Check diagnose what I need?

No. It provides outcome-led guidance based on your answers. Only a dentist who has assessed your teeth, gums and bite can recommend treatment.

Why could more than one pathway suit me?

The same visible concern can sometimes be approached in different ways. A gap, for example, may be closed by moving teeth, reshaping teeth or using a staged combination. Your biology, bite, goals and priorities determine what is appropriate.

What happens after my composite veneer appointment?

Your composite veneer treatment appointment is followed by a review appointment, then a dedicated finishing and polish appointment. This gives you time to experience the new shape and allows us to review your bite, comfort, contours and final surface finish. The exact timing and number of visits may vary with your individual treatment plan.

Does my smile treatment include a warranty?

Any applicable WSD warranty is treatment-specific and will be explained in writing as part of your final treatment plan. Warranty conditions may include attending recommended examinations and hygiene visits, following maintenance advice and wearing prescribed retainers or protective appliances. Normal wear, accidental damage, new decay, gum disease, tooth movement and care provided elsewhere may not be covered. Your written treatment plan will contain the terms that apply to you.

Can I take my scan or photographs to another dentist?

The complimentary scan and photographs are provided as part of exploring treatment with WSD. If you ask WSD to prepare and export a transferable diagnostic scan-and-photography package for use by another dentist, WSD’s standard fee of $360 applies and will be confirmed before the package is prepared. This policy does not limit your rights under New Zealand privacy law to request access to health information WSD already holds about you.
